HOW MY ART PRACTICE STARTED
Beginning as a passion project to cope with significant losses — M aka @moto.m.sol on instagram has evolved into something more. A community if people that are kind, enthusiastic about art practices, & unwaveringly supportive. It also happens that everyone are intense car + motorcycle enthusiasts to the highest degree.
My soul desires to express creativity while also providing the problem solving and conceptual structures of art direction combined with intentional design.
Since the year 2024, I dove head first into Automotive + Motorsports Art Direction. Coming from a Left-Handed dominant, creative lineage, my Grandfather has been a Japanese Car Enthusiast (Honda S2K) for as long as I can remember. My first & current car being a manual. I want to bring skilled creative innovation through the eyes of a woman in an extremely corporate, regulated field.
I’m an artist that practices interdisciplinary studies. As an experienced Art Director, I contribute in freelance or corporate settings to solve creative problems. A College for Creative Studies Alumni, Advertising + Design major with an Illustration minor. Hybrid of true artist & visual designer. I let passion, intuition, and overwhelming ambition drive me further into a space that blurs the boundaries between fantasy, reality and soul purpose.

M — The creation of Motosol is about the balance of Feminine & Masculine energies within give and take design systems, engineering, & creative production. Speaking from experience, there is an imbalance, divided nature, disrespect, and patriarchal tendencies in the car community. I have been in this space for a while, experiencing a wide range of people all from different walks of life. Being a woman in a male-dominated field is not for the faint of heart. Motosol is more than just a brand, but a growing community of people that can all shine while coexisting together man or woman alike.
Sol — translating to “Sun” or “Light” in different languages, a Mainecoon rescue from the Detroit Humane Society. Sol is an official ESA (Emotional Support Animal), as well as being my companion for 4 years and counting. An incredibly intelligent car cat that likes to travel, a huge inspiration for Motosol.
Aozora, the 2017 Subaru WRX Limited — World Rally Blue, Manual transmission. In Japanese, Aozora translates to Blue Sky. I got in a bad car accident prior to getting the WRX. Having had the car 4 years now, learning the ropes of intense maintenance, repairs, Subaru sensitivities, and being completely new to photography. I would go out at night by myself to practice, graduating to more advanced photos + graphics that are automotive focused.
